Organic Baby Formulas vs Non-Organic Baby Formulas

October 11, 2018

With all the hype about organic foods, we wanted to take a closer look at what the main differences of Organic vs Non Organic formulas really are, based on scientific facts.

There are many studies that prove the many benefits of eating only organic foods, especially when compared to non-organic food, for women during their pregnancy as well as babies. A study published by EHP (Environmental Health Perspectivesthat tested the newborn babies from mothers that did not eat organic during their pregnancies,  found that the babies had harmful toxins in their bodies, making them more vulnerable to health problems such as developing neurological damages.

So why are non-organic products so unhealthy?

Conventional farmers still use artificial pesticide and chemicals.  They also inject their livestock with growth hormones such as Estrogen, Testosterone, Progesterone as also medicine such as antibiotics and painkillers. These harmful ingredients greatly affect the quality of their products as also the milk. In a recent scientific study antibiotics, chemicals as also over 20 painkillers were found in a glass of non-organic milk.

Does that mean that Organic Farmers don't use Pesticides?

They actually do! But the pesticides only come from natural sources including certain types of plants. For example, Holle´s Farmers are not allowed under any circumstances to use any artificial fertilizers including synthetic or chemical enhanced pesticides or any other external alterations on their soil, plants or animals.

Furthermore, Holle´s organic farmers practice Biodynamic farming, which goes beyond traditional organic farming. This ensures that the cows that produce  milk for Holle and Lebenswert´s Organic Baby Formula, are strong and healthy, and by natural Demeter certified way of farming only produce the highest quality of milk.

Biodynamic milk  is not only free from Pesticides and other Chemicals but also proves to have a higher vitamin E and Beta-Carotene content. Studies show that Biodynamic milk is also organically high in essential Omega 3 and Omega 6 fatty acids, compared to regular milk.

Scientists agree:

While Organic Baby Food such as Organic Baby Formula can be more expensive than non-organic baby food, exposing your baby to formulas that contain toxins, hormones or chemicals can cause serious illness and even lead to cancer and organ failure.

It is also proven that Organic Baby Food is richer in Vitamins, Omega 3, Omega 6, Beta Carotene and essential Nutrients.

So either if you are choosing to go Organic for the environment or for the health benefits, paying a little higher price for Organic Milk Formulas will make a huge difference in your baby's healthy future.
