Holle Formula Instructions in English

If you’ve ever seen a package of Holle formula, you probably noticed the instructions are written in German. Unless you’re fluent in German, it’ll be a challenge to figure out what to do. Fortunately, we’ve got you covered with a quick how-to in English!

The scoop is included with each box of formula and holds exactly 4.4 grams. Regardless of how big the bottle you’re making is, you’ll want to stick with this 1:1 ratio.

And here are step-by-step Holle instructions for your bottle-making convenience:

• If the nipple and bottle are new, sterilize them by boiling them for 3-5 minutes before use. Otherwise, be sure they’ve been thoroughly cleaned and rinsed using soap and warm water.
• Boil the water you’ll be using to mix the formula and let it cool to about 122°F/ 50 °C.
• Put half of the water and all of the formula into the bottle.
• Mix water and formula well with a spoon; then shake the mixture until the powder has dissolved. Your baby definitely won’t enjoy any powdery lumps so you’ll want to be sure everything is thoroughly mixed.
• Add the remaining water and mix well again.
• Let it cool until it reaches 99.5°F/37°C (about body temperature). You can test the temperature by putting a drop on the inside of your wrist where the skin is sensitive.
• Feed your baby!
